I am Professor of Corporate Law at Sydney Law School in The University of Sydney. I teach and research in the areas of corporate law, insolvency law, debt restructuring, secured transactions and contract law. I have been teaching and researching in these areas for the past 19 years.

I am a member of the Law Council of Australia’s Business Law Section Insolvency and Reconstruction Committee and the Corporations Committee. I am also a member of the Legal Committee of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. I an academic member of ARITA and a member of INSOL International. I am a former President of the Corporate Law Teachers’ Association and former chair of the Banking and Financial Services Law Association’s academic executive committee. I am a fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and have previously chaired a number of their subject and educational advisory committees. I was previously the program head for the ARITA Advanced Certification course, offered by the UTS Faculty of Law from 2016-2018.
